John Coates
John is considered a resource and technical expert due to his experience as a painter; body shop manager; jobber and manufacturer sales, and business owner. John serves on two advisory boards.
About John Coates Equipment & Supplies, LLC
JCES is a family business, owned by John and Cat Coates.
During John's 30+ years in the industry, he has worked in every aspect of the business. John spent 10 years as a painter for dealerships and independents in the Tampa Bay area, as well as running his own shop in the early to mid-80's, prior to going into the jobber side. In 1991, John was recruited to be a Territory Manager for PPG Industries, where he worked for 10 years. During that time he gained in depth knowledge of paint application and processes.
Today, John is considered a well rounded technical expert and often provides consultative advice on all aspects of the business as a value added service to our customers.
